BYD karaoke microphone compatibility by model
A BYD badge and a USB socket are not enough to confirm microphone compatibility. Match the vehicle, receiver and infotainment system before buying. This guide is a pre-purchase checklist, not a claim that DriveMic has been tested in every model below.
The four details to confirm before ordering
Send support your exact model and model year, country of original sale, infotainment software version, and a photo of the available USB ports. Add a photo of the microphone receiver if you already own one. Use the software information screen while safely parked; avoid sending a VIN or other personal details unless support specifically needs them.
A USB-A to USB-C adapter changes the connector shape. It does not add a missing microphone driver, enable a charge-only port to carry data, or unlock karaoke features. Ask whether the actual receiver supplied with your order is supported by your vehicle configuration.
There are separate compatibility questions: can the receiver send your voice to the vehicle speakers, is a karaoke app available in your region, and do advanced features recognize this microphone? A yes to one does not establish the others.
BYD ATTO 3 karaoke microphone
For an ATTO 3, provide the local model name and year rather than relying on a listing for Yuan Plus. A manufacturer list using another market name is a useful lead, but it does not confirm the software or receiver in your car. Check the vehicle manual for the data-capable USB port and ask support to confirm the supplied receiver.
If the microphone plays through the speakers but the app does not score your voice, test basic voice playback separately. Scoring is an app-and-hardware feature; replacing an adapter may not solve it.
BYD Dolphin karaoke microphone
Identify whether your car is a Dolphin, Dolphin Surf or Dolphin Mini. Do not use a compatibility statement for one as proof for another. Include the software version and country because the available apps and vehicle configuration can differ.
Confirm the data port before interpreting a receiver light as successful installation. Power at a USB socket does not prove the infotainment system can receive microphone audio.
BYD Seal karaoke microphone
Specify Seal EV or the complete local model designation. Seal and Seal U are distinct vehicle names; a product listing that mentions only Seal should not be treated as confirmation for Seal U. Tell support whether you want basic sing-along audio or a particular app feature.
For a problem after a software update, record the current version and whether voice playback worked before the update. This helps separate a compatibility issue from charging or pairing.
BYD Seal U: EV and DM-i
For Seal U, state EV or DM-i explicitly. BYD Turkey’s accessory document identifies a Type-C microphone for Seal U DM-i, Seal U EV and Dolphin. That is evidence about a particular regional accessory, not blanket verification of every receiver or of DriveMic.
Ask for confirmation against the receiver being sold. If you need scoring or pitch correction, request a demonstration using that microphone and a comparable vehicle system before ordering.
BYD Sealion 5, 6 and 7
Give the full Sealion number; do not shorten it to “Sealion.” The manufacturer reference below lists selected Sea Lion variants, while also noting market and system differences. It does not independently establish DriveMic compatibility with Sealion 5, 6 or 7.
Use the same four-detail check for each vehicle. If you are choosing between two receiver types, ask which has been confirmed for your exact system rather than selecting solely by USB connector.
ATTO 2, Shark, Tang, Han and other models
ATTO 2, Shark, Tang, Han, Song, Seagull, M6 and other models should be checked individually. An option in the checkout vehicle selector records your car; it is not a certification of compatibility. If confirmation is unavailable, resolve it with support before paying.
Owners in Australia and the UK should provide the original market, including whether the car was imported. This store’s English checkout uses GBP; that currency does not indicate vehicle compatibility or a local warehouse.
What the available manufacturer evidence establishes
Singing Machine publishes a model list for its own official BYD microphone and explicitly says compatibility varies by market and vehicle system. Its page describes dedicated hardware for advanced karaoke features. DriveMic is sold by an independent store, so those manufacturer claims should not be transferred to this kit.
For DriveMic, obtain confirmation from support for your specific configuration. We do not publish a tested-model badge without a recorded test. If you share a useful compatibility result, include the receiver and software details so it can be checked.
Frequently asked questions
Does a USB-C adapter guarantee compatibility?
No. The port must support data and the receiver must be recognized by the vehicle system.
Is every model in the checkout confirmed compatible?
No. The selector identifies your vehicle. Confirm the model year, market, software and receiver with support before purchasing.
